Are You Nervous Yet, Erich?

“Are You Nervous Yet, Erich?” animated GIF by @iamTalkyTina

Well, you can’t see the beads of sweat moving on Erich’s head, but his eyes sure look shifty scared.

I won’t repeat what I was saying to him over the phone from the garage, but it sure gave him a new respect for me!

30 Uses for My ds106radio T-Shirt

The Daily Create for Tuesday, June 25th asks for a list of 30 uses for a T-shirt, useful or ridiculous.

Because I just got my new ds106radio shirt today, I thought it would be nice to show you my picture of me wearing my shirt AND to also give you my list of 30 things that you could use a T-shirt for. I probably would NOT use my ds106radio T-Shirt for all of these things because it is a special shirt, but would use just a regular T-shirt.

  1. TT_ds106radioSHIRTA place for you to show your love for #ds106radio.
  2. A place for you to show your love for #ds106.
  3. A place for you to show your love for the #ds106zone.
  4. A place for you to keep your scissors hidden under.
  5. A thing to wear (if it is a black one) with your Ninja Suit when you are playing Window Friends.
  6. A thing to wear (if it is a black one) with your Ninja Suit when you are doing Night Work.
  7. A thing to wear (if it is a black one) with your Ninja Suit for any other kind of Night Missions.
  8. A thing to wear under your regular clothes (if it is a black one) when you have to put on your Ninja Suit later on that night for playing Window Friends or doing Night Work or going on a Night Mission.
  9. A thing to use for a towel if you have to clean up some kind of emergency mess or something.
  10. If you forget your ribbons, you can put it where you normally stretch your ribbons.
  11. For a mask, if you have to put something over your face for a while.
  12. A place for you to keep your knife hidden under.
  13. A thing to make a rope out of with knots if you need to climb out of a garbage can if someone puts you in there.
  14. A thing to use as a neck protector when they aren’t looking so they are confused when they can’t cut your head off with a table saw.
  15. For a brace to keep your neck from getting hurt if someone puts you in a vise (like who would ever do that if they weren’t a maniac) but just in case.
  16. A thing for you to use (if you have more than one of them, and they are black) to make a temporary Ninja Suit if you need one for Emergency Night Work or Emergency Night Missions.
  17. A thing for you to use (if you have extra ones and they are black) to make a Ninja Rope out of with knots if you need to do climbing work during an Emergency Ninja Night Work or Emergency Ninja Night Mission.
  18. For a temporary pillow if you are on a stakeout during a Night Mission.
  19. For a temporary hammock if you are on a stakeout during a Night Mission.
  20. For a blind where you can camp out if you are on a stakeout during a Night Mission.
  21. A thing to use to build a trampoline out of if their windows are kind of high up and you need to see inside.
  22. For making an Emergency Backpack if you are away from home and need to make an Emergency Ninja Kit (it can hold all your stuff).
  23. A thing to use to make a swaddling blanket out of (if it is white) if you need to blend into a toy display or a cradle or a nursery or other place where you can blend in by looking like a doll or a baby.
  24. A thing to use to make a catapult out of for when you need to get to the other side of a high fence or wall when you are on a Ninja Night Mission or doing Ninja Night Work. Or just for fun.
  25. To wear for pjs.
  26. To use as a temporary gas mask if they try to slow you down with gas when you are on a Ninja Night Mission or doing Ninja Night Work.
  27. To use as a bag for carrying candy during Hallowe’en if you tie the arms and neck shut.
  28. To use as a bag for carrying other things if you tie the arms and neck shut and it is NOT Hallowe’en.
  29. To use as a bag for carrying other things if you tie the arms and neck shut and it IS Hallowe’en but the things are NOT candy.
  30. To use as a blank canvas for self-expression if you make a T-shirt design and then put it on the blank canvas.

When I get my summer 2013 ds106zone T-shirt, I could probably use it for most of these things but I would not because it will also be special like my ds106radio T-shirt.

Well, Bye!

Window Friends

Do you ever play Window Friends? That is where you go to the house of a Friend and pop-up in their window when they aren’t looking. It is fun!

Mr. Carling, playing Window Friends in "Third from the Sun," Season 1, Episode 14

Mr. Carling, playing Window Friends in “Third from the Sun,” Season 1, Episode 14

I saw this man playing Window Friends with his work friends in the Third from the Sun episode and it reminded me of how much fun it is to play Window Friends. I was sometimes playing Window Friends at Mr. Savvy‘s house a while ago when I wrote that poem for him before he wrote the mean poem back. And then I wrote Tina Don’t Like the Mean Word.

Anyway, if you were in that house and I was wearing my Ninja Suit (which I like to wear when I play Window Friends because it is good for hiding at night when it is a good time to play) it would look like this if the man and I were playing at the same time.

In the show, the man wasn’t really their True Friend so they didn’t put him in the rocket when they went away at the end before their planet blew up. Too bad for him!

Well, bye!

One Story / Four Icon Twilight Zone #3

Hello, Friends!

I am fine! Thank you for thinking about me and asking on the Twitter. I have been busy with some little projects that are fun for me.

Like this. Here is another challenge!! Can you guess which episode this is? And the season? And the episode number? And who was the “star” of this episode?

Remember, if you want to be the winner, you have to say all four answers. If you only say some, then you will not be the winner, like David and Ben who did not get all of the answers last time but Christina did, so she won.  Remember, I will not let you spoil it for others, but I will tell you “You Got It” and tell you your score so you know where you stack up.

Okay! Ready?  Here it is.

One Story / Four Icon Twilight Zone #2

Here is another challenge for Design Assignment 358: One Story / Four Icon assignment. See if you can get this Twilight Zone episode:

One Story / Four Icon Twilight Zone Episode Challenge #2

One Story / Four Icon Twilight Zone Episode Challenge #2

Again, I found my icons on thenounproject.com where I have an account and so the SVG files are free.

I used icons by these people, but I won’t say what the icons are called because that takes away all the guessing fun!!!

Can you guess my challenge? I hope it is not too hard for you! Please put your answers in the comments below. If you are right, I will say “You Got It!” but I will remove your answer so it does not give away the fun for my other friends.  Remember, to get ALL of the POINTS, you need to correctly say the Season, the Episode, the Title, and who was the star of the episode.

Winners will be happier for having played along with my challenge. See yesterday’s One Story / Four Icon Twilight Zone challenge. Can you figure out BOTH of them for double points?

Bye!

One Story / Four Icon Twilight Zone Episode

Hello, Friends!  (New Friends, True Friends, and Open Friends — and any other friends, too!)

I think it would be fun to do the Design Assignment 358: One Story / Four Icon assignment, but with episodes from The Twilight Zone, instead of movies.  Don’t you think that would be fun?

Can you tell what episode of The Twilight Zone this is? You have to say the season, the episode, AND the title of the episode, AND who was the star of the episode to get all the points.

Well? Can you do it? Can you? If you can, say so in the comments. If you get it right I will say “You Got IT!” in your comment and say how many points you got out of 4 you got, but I will  I will delete your right answers so that you do not spoil the fun for my other Friends.

Here is the first one!

One Story / Four Icon Twilight Zone Episode Challenge #1

One Story / Four Icon Twilight Zone Episode Challenge #1

To make this, I found some great icons on thenounproject.com website. I have an account there so I can download the icons for free. I edited some of the icons a bit using Adobe Illustrator (you need to use an editor that lets you edit .SVG files, here is an online one you can try, called SVG-edit) so that they would work better for this One Story Four Icon challenge. I made the man bald and I made the girl sad and I made a down arrow on the stairs and I made RIP on the grave. Although I should have just put RI, if you know what I mean.

Without telling you the name of the icons (that might make it too easy for people), I will say that the attributions (who made stuff) for the four icons are here, and I have told you the exact CC kind of license for each one, with a link to the licenses.  Neat, eh? I am a good Friend.

Well, so that was fun! See if you can guess my episode! Tune in another day for another One Story / Four Icon Twilight Zone episode challenge. The next one will be harder! And maybe you want to do this assignment yourself and challenge us?

My True Friend, Nick

So back in the day, when I was working in Hollywood, I had a lot of True Friends who were in the show business. One of the fellows I got to know had a feature part on an episode of The Twilight Zone, called Nick of Time. He got to play himself, Nick.

In this show, his body was grey-screened out of the shot and his head was superimposed over a napkin holder, so that it would look like it the napkin holder was his body. His main acting function was to bobble his head around, like this:

Attached to the napkin holder was a coin collector, a lever, and a fortune dispenser. In the episode, Captain Kirk comes along with his girlfriend of the week and gets addicted to putting pennies in the napkin dispenser, and then my friend Nick keeps shoving the fortunes out at him.

I think my True Friend Nick really did a good job of predicting the future on that day. Remember, it was 1960 when this episode was filmed — that’s three years before I got my gig on The Twilight Zone, and look at how prescient Nick was! I say he got 4/4 correct!

I wonder where my friend Nick is now. He never stopped being a True Friend, we just lost touch. 🙁

My Good Friend, Caesar!

My Good Friend, Caesar

My Good Friend, Caesar

I was out for lunch today, and who do you think I ran into but my old friend, Caesar! We hadn’t seen one another for such a long time. We had a good opportunity to sit down and catch up!

Did you know that Caesar has a new friend? As it turns out, his last companion fell on some difficult times, and got into some trouble with the law! I don’t know what it is, but Caesar always seems to wind up picking the bad ones! When I asked him about this, he seemed to have difficulty giving me a straight answer. While it always seems to be his friends (and not him) that run afoul of the law, he really does seem to keep loosing his friends to the strangest of circumstances. I pressed him for some numbers, I understand that this is a touchy topic for him. It would seem that I’ve seen him with a new companion every year since we first met. And we go way back, to like 1964!!

I hope that things work out for him this time.

Do you like that fancy neck trick that he showed me at lunch? He’s such a character!
