Get Your @iamTalkyTina Certification

Well, opportunities don’t come along every day. Plus, when you can demonstrate your special skills and get a badge for them, then you need to take advantage of that chance.

For a limited time only (it started yesterday, so you had better not already be behind), the Alan Levine (that’s my StillTrueFriend @cogdog, on Twitter) June 2017 30-Day Challenge for The Daily Create allows you to be in the window for getting your @iamTalkyTina Certification.

All you need to do to qualify for the @iamTalkyTina Certification is complete the June 2017 30-Day Challenge by doing all 30 days worth of The Daily Create in June 2017. It’s that simple.  For those of you needing the details, that means all of the ones from #tdc1970 to #tdc1999. Those are all of them.

You can sign up for the @iamTalkyTina Certification process by putting your name in the comments below including your twitter and you will be entered into the watchful gaze. Only peoples who participate within this @iamTalkyTina Certification window remain eligible. I will let you catch up for missed days if you let me know by June 4th.

To help you with this process (and to help ensure you enjoy The Daily Create on a daily basis during June 2017), I have prepared this special printable Do Your The Daily Create Every Day! PDF calendar to print out and put on your bathroom mirror. It will help you remember. Or, if you are good with your cell phone and not just dismissing alerts when you get them, you can subscribe to my special June 2017 30-Day Challenge calendar on Google Calendar.

It even has built-in notifications to remind you twice a day at 9 am and 9 pm, which should still work if you are in a different time zone if you don’t mind getting it a bit later or earlier so just get up earlier or whatever and don’t just forget the notification. (Note: I am not responsible if you don’t charge your phone or if Google breaks, it’s still your responsibility to do The Daily Create, I’m just giving you options to make sure you don’t forget and then be sad later if you don’t get your badge.)

There will be a special @iamTalkyTina Certification page on my website at the end with all of the badges for the people who are certified. Only those badges mean you are #TrueCertified for the @iamTalkyTina Certification. Do not accept fake ones.

Clarification: #TrueCertified is not the same as #TrueFriends, and just because you are a #TrueFriend does not grant you the #TrueCertified.  #TrueFriends is not a prerequisite for #TrueCertified, nor does #TrueCertified grant you #TrueFriends. But if you got #TrueCertified, wouldn’t you want to be a #TrueFriends, too?

Well I’ve managed the first couple of days, and I would of course like a badge. @johnjohnston
May be you could have a slice of pie badge for folk who don’t do all 30

Well, John, you already have the #TrueFriend one so you should really go for the Certification too. I made a calendar last night for your mirror and your Google with alerts to help you remember.

Plus if you stumble a little bit then it would not be too hard for me to put the calendar over your badge and delete parts out of it for the ones you miss. I would be willing to extend this courtesy (call it Holey Certification status) for existing #TrueFriends only.

      Yours,
      Tina

Hey Talky 🙂 Count me in!!! I want to play. It’s been awhile since I’ve been active with the group, and really looking forward to a month of sharing daily creative fun. Thanks for getting the word out through your post and badge. I almost missed it.
    Cheers,
    Rochelle

Well, as long as you have not strayed too far from the community, you can still play. Plus polish off the rust on your skills.

But be sure you stay caught up!

      Bye!

      Tina.

        Hello Talk,
I’ve been diligently & creatively completing my daily creates in June everyday except for one. The panoramic selfie, “#tdc1983 Panorama clone yourself” has eluded me thus far. I’m having a difficult time finding a suitable location with a second willing/coerced person/victim to assist me. If I complete a total of 30, by doubling up on one day, will that be sufficient to earn my badge? Otherwise, I’ll delve into my digital creativity tool box and #ds106 myself a creative response. Hmmm.. this image/GIF from my first weeks in DS106 back in the DS106Zone might work just fine. http://rockylouproductions.com/blog_wp/2013/05/27/gif-evolution-of-manyme/

Well, Rochelle, it is always a difficult thing to start making exceptions because as soon as you make one, everybody wants five, and then you need to keep track of all the exceptions plus all the regular ones. The important thing about certification is high standards and what they mean. So as a member of the June 2017 at iamTalkyTina creationist cohort, people know that by having the badge you did the panorama one, just like all the other ones. It is not so much about a substitute one, or a double-up one, especially if it is a double-up one of an easy one, like today when I made two Lune ones, I am still expecting myself to do the panorama one if I want to get my badge fair and square, even though it is a round badge. Plus, look on it as the challenge of the artist finding a way to do the panorama one despite all odds! You can do it, Rochelle! You can earn your badge!

And of course you know I am desperate for my new badge! I even learnt how to spell it properly! I am a little behind today – I still have to do yesterday’s – but I have been keeping up quite well with the challenge…I may need to study this post to really grasp the complex requirement of becoming #TrueCertified for now I will just keeping making art!
