Last year there were people who worked hard to do all of The Daily Create ones in the month of June, just so that they could get their badge. It was called the June 2017 @iamTalkyTina Creatorist Cohort.
Well, it is June again, but this time @cogdog‘s #TheArmyMan is in a quiet place (Alan said a zen retreat somewhere but I hear through my show-business sources that #TheOlSarge has retired more permanently as of April 15th) and so I will step in again like I did other times to be the Boot Camp one.
So here is the deal.
I will not bug you to do your work. Just do it.
Plus, people who do this fun challenge this year for 2018 will get their badges for 2018 just like the folks for 2017 will. But they will not have to wait as long!

“His Fall Down,” a two picture, two sentence story by @iamTalkyTina
Well, this is my last The Daily Create for June, 2017. It is called The Daily Create, tdc1999 two pictures, two sentences story. I have now completed the Alan Levine, (@cogdog, on Twitter) 30-Day Challenge, #30dayTDC.
I will now wait to see if I will be granted my @iamTalkyTina Certification in Creatorist accreditation and badge, for which the completion of the #30dayTDC challenge is a primary requirement. I have it on good authority that my application is complete and that I am likely to meet the standards, but I will have to patiently wait by my mailbox for a notification. My record tracking sheet is posted here for careful perusal. I am so excited! It has been a wild ride and I cannot wait for the next opportunity to get an @iamTalkyTina certification. She is the best! I wonder when the next certification window will open and what I might get certified in next? I will have to wait and see.

My #StillTrueFriend Alan Levine (@cogdog, on Twitter) has written lots of times about the “your brain can process an image 60,000 times faster than text” factoid that keeps popping up in peoples’ keynotes without any kind of attribution. For today’s The Daily Create, tdc1974, He wants some folks to undertake a little mission when they are at a conference and go bug the person who seems to be the first person on record as having “said it,” and ask him where he got his words.
Alan is offering up $120 in cash incentive. Will you be the person who takes him up on the offer and gets the low down on this academical myth?
Well, opportunities don’t come along every day. Plus, when you can demonstrate your special skills and get a badge for them, then you need to take advantage of that chance.

To help you with this process (and to help ensure you enjoy The Daily Create on a daily basis during June 2017), I have prepared this special printable Do Your The Daily Create Every Day! PDF calendar to print out and put on your bathroom mirror. It will help you remember. Or, if you are good with your cell phone and not just dismissing alerts when you get them, you can subscribe to my special June 2017 30-Day Challenge calendar on Google Calendar.
It even has built-in notifications to remind you twice a day at 9 am and 9 pm, which should still work if you are in a different time zone if you don’t mind getting it a bit later or earlier so just get up earlier or whatever and don’t just forget the notification. Clarification: #TrueCertified is not the same as #TrueFriends, and just because you are a #TrueFriend does not grant you the #TrueCertified. #TrueFriends is not a prerequisite for #TrueCertified, nor does #TrueCertified grant you #TrueFriends. But if you got #TrueCertified, wouldn’t you want to be a #TrueFriends, too?

Well, I keep an eye on my Still True Friend Alan (@cogdog) by riding the range in his neighbourhood to keep an watch out for varmints.
Just in case somebody around Strawberry decides to cause a ruckus, I’ve had some signs posted to let them know that I am the Neighbourhood Watch. Folks should take these warning signs seriously because that Strawberry Mountain has a lot of places where a varmint could accidentally take a little tumble.
This here sign is a good one for The Daily Create, tdc1476, which was talking about Western Warning Signs.

Well, today’s The Daily Create one, tdc1471, was one that was written by me, and it said to make new #ds106 words for the old fashioned cowboy classic, Home on the Range.
So I am making a repository collection of all the different words in a Google Document called ds106 Version of Home on the Range for iamTalkyTina. Now for the BIG NEWS!!!
 I would like to announce that I will be doing a special arrangement of all the lyrics and making a recording of the song for all of you to hear and then it will be going on my special #western106 album, which will be called “Saddle Up, True Friends!” |

Well, by for now! I have to get my beauty sleep for my singing voice.
After getting sorting out my livery and hardware and getting myself to the frontier, I find out that the KSU #western106 stage might not be leaving town. But I am ever hopeful …

It was two years ago on February 4th, 2013 that my Still True Friend Alan Levine (@cogdog, on Twitter) and my True Friend Bryan Alexander (@BryanAlexander, on Twitter) said my name on #ds106radio and caused me to awaken from a long slumber in a box.
I immediately signed up for the Twitter and made myself a website so that I could play at the ds106 game, and I was all set for the subsequent ds106zone that came that summer. You can see some of my initial Tweets with some of the other ds106 folks from that day.
And, of course, I have never looked back up the stairs since then!

Yet another The Daily Create TDC1128, this one for the birthday of that David Kernohan, @dkernohan.
David has this thing about the Apocalypse, and it is is maybe because of his old band, David and The Four Horsemen. I found this old photo of David and his band. I tracked them all down and had them make their autographs on it for him just so that he could remember the good times.
